Student Culinary Council (SCC)

The Student Culinary Council (SCC) is a student-driven program that creates an engaged, responsive relationship with students to help build a more fulfilling student dining experience on campus. The SCC will work to enhance the student’s ability to gather and communicate the opinions and suggestions of their peers, increase messaging regarding on-campus dining, and create a forum to adapt the dining experience to student needs. These concepts will be actualized through the use of direct interpersonal communication, peer-driven survey responses, focus groups and more.
Focused meeting topics and exclusive student activities give members an active role in defining and refining the Seminole Dining program. Four key aspects at the core of this initiative:

  • ADVISE: Be a representative of student opinions regarding FSU’s Seminole Dining program.
  • LEARN: Expand culinary horizons by learning about new food trends, nutritional eating habits, sustainability on campus and specific meeting topics.
  • TALK: Meet with Seminole Dining chefs and staff to talk about all of the perks and incentives of the dining program.
  • SHARE: Be a positive ambassador for Seminole Dining by sharing information with other students and guests.
